    Brief about the Festival

    The International Film Festival on Cultural Tourism at IHM Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, held from July 31st to August 2nd, 2025, concluded with a celebration of cinematic achievements. The inaugural ceremony was a star-studded affair, with acclaimed Indian film director and producer Suneel Darshan, along with the cast of his latest release Andaz-2, lighting the traditional lamp. Esteemed guests, including renowned cinematographer Dharam Gulati, National Award-winner Arun Shankar, actress Aneri Vajani, and celebrated Gujarati film director Chinmay Purohit, were welcomed by Festival Director Ms. Ketki Kapadia. Mr. Dhaval Pandya, Deputy General Manager of Cinematic Tourism for the Government of Gujarat, also attended the event. The festival opened with screenings of two captivating documentary films: DERBENT – CITY OF STORIES from the Russian Federation and the Gujarati film BHAVANI, which explores the lesser-known Bhavada folk tradition.

    The three-day festival featured a masterclass by Chinmay Purohit, director of the Gujarati films Oxygen and Jalebi Rocks, along with screenings of short and mid-length films from around the world. The festival culminated in an awards ceremony, honoring films in seven categories,
